WHO WE ARE
Our Story
Transformation Homes Inc (THI) was built on a simple belief: everyone deserves a safe place to begin again. We provide dignity‑first housing and support for families and individuals navigating instability in Chippewa Falls. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we serve those who often fall through the gaps—working parents facing eviction, youth aging out of foster care, and families in transition—offering stability, compassion, and a path forward.
THI began with a member of our board, a single mother who rebuilt her life after escaping abuse and felt called to create safe places for others to heal. What started as a vision scribbled on a Walmart receipt in 2010 became reality in 2022 when our first home opened its doors. Today, we provide transitional housing and holistic support rooted in care, connection, and the belief that a soft landing can change the trajectory of a life.
Dee, WI
"I serve on the board of THI because I deeply believe in its mission to offer a safe and supportive place for people navigating some of the hardest transitions in their lives. As someone who has experienced the challenges of becoming a single mother, moving to a new community, and trying to rebuild a foundation for myself and my child, I understand how overwhelming that chapter can be. I’m grateful for an organization that walks alongside individuals in those moments, providing temporary housing and the support needed to move forward."
Why We Serve
Troynel, NY
"As a mother who has faced a housing crisis myself, I knew I wanted to be a part of THI. I’ve always wanted to lend myself to really making a difference in the lives of those who need it the most. Those who may be overlooked. Those whose hope was lost. Those who just need to bridge a gap. Showing that help is out there. This role is truly a pleasure of mine and I am honored to help in every way possible."
Lara, NC
"I joined Transformation Homes Inc because I wanted to make a real difference for families struggling with housing insecurity and other difficult situations. I know that not having a stable place to live can really affect people’s health and how long they live. Helping—even in small ways—can lift some of that burden and bring hope to families who need it most. It feels good to be part of something that helps build stronger, healthier communities."
